• 2011 Arnold Classic Lifetime Achievement Award

"The Arnold Schwarzenegger Lifetime Achievement Award is presented each year to an individual that exemplifies the meaning of the words health and fitness. This year's award goes to an individual who has committed himself to a lifetime of physical and mental conditioning and has motivated thousands to make improvements for themselves through health and fitness.

Lou was born in Brooklyn, NY, in 1951, and as a child, suffered from an ear infection that resulted in permanent partial hearing loss. Undeterred by what some have perceived as a disadvantage, Lou threw himself into athletics.

Lou was only 21 when he won his first Mr. Universe title - a Guinness Book record that stands to this day. More incredible, at age 22, he won again! And to this day, remains the only person to win consecutive titles."
